About Hoosier Fix
What does your program do?
Hoosier Fix is a 501(c)3 Non Profit that provides free or reduced cost spay/neuter surgeries and vaccinations for dog and cat owners in Marion County, Indiana and surrounding areas. Vaccinations are only included with spay/neuter surgeries. Our program does not provide assistance for other medical procedures. We also do not rescue or re-home pets.
How is your program different?
Hoosier Fix is a very personalized service. We guide you every step of the way in having your pet fixed. We are available to explain the full process and also followup with you after your pet’s surgery.
Who are you?
We are animal advocates who want to provide more spay/neuter financial assistance to pet owners in our area. Hoosier Fix is a 100% volunteer run organization. There are no paid employees. We do not have an office or building.
Who do you assist?
Residents in Marion Co. and surrounding counties of Indiana who would not be able to otherwise afford spay/neuter surgeries for their pets.
What if I don’t have transportation?
We can provide assistance with this in certain cases.
Why do you have this program?
We believe that spay/neuter of pets helps reduce the number of unwanted pets in shelters, improve pet health, reduce negative behaviors, save on the cost of pet care, and ultimately keep pets with their families.
How does the program work?
Please complete our application to apply for assistance and then we will be in touch with you shortly. At some points for holidays and other breaks, our application is closed.
Will I be approved?
We will do our best to help all owned pets. We may ask the pet’s owner to contribute to the costs as well depending on the situation.
